Toulair creates clothing for women whose legs, torso, and/or arms are shorter than the average person. This demographic is often referred to as "petite" in the fashion industry and they are typically 5'4" and under.
While height is a helpful indicator of this demographic, when it comes to petite pants what’s key is the inseam (the seam on the inside of the pant) and the rise (the seam along the zipper and booty).
For petite women, the inseam can range from 22" to 30", with the most common inseam at 26" and 27". Shorter women also have a front rise ranging from 7" to 12".
Most clothing brands these days assume a single inseam for women, despite the clear variation that exists. And even when companies offer a 'short' or 'petite' option, the rise is not adjusted, leading to pants that sit a little too close to your chest.
From the rise to the inseam, every measurement on a Toulair pant is considered with the shortie in mind. We're on a mission to make cute pants that fit you well, offering multiple inseam lengths and multiple waist options (just like the men have had for centuries!), and at an affordable price.
